Even through sports, revival comes!
Jesus’ disciples prayed and obeyed in the midst of not knowing what was ahead of them. It was an exciting, nerve-wracking adventure, where they did not know what Jesus would do. But we tend to limit God’s power according to our own knowledge and experiences. Have we lost the sense of anticipation of what God would do beyond our expectation?
We don’t know what God will bring through this ministry, but would you join us with prayer with expectation and excitement.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

Let the adventure begin!
While I was praying and asking what I could do for the sake of the revival of Japan,
I thought that I could build up the networks among believer’s communities, share the news to many believers throughout Japan that revivals are happening, and being a part of the big wave of the movement started by the Holy Spirit in Japan.
By the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I was able to visit churched from Okinawa to Hokkaido. Through this journey, God brought many partners for the Athlete Church who could share the same vision. I want Athlete Church to be used as house churches and ‘delivery church’ that link churches in Japan together as a network. I believe that such network is a key part of bringing the revival in Japan.
In order to spread sports ministry throughout Japan and build this network we are planning on giving up our house, in January 2022, buying a camping car and traveling for one to two years across Japan as a family.
Hongodai Christ Church is a church that prays. Just like the church of Antioch sent out Paul on his missionary journey, we would like to be sent out as a family to spread God’s vision.
